The Client journey that leads to sales needs focus and revision.  Markets change, financial pressures, politics and technology are constantly leading to innovations that shape our world.  Digital media and how we process and consume content is no different.

Picture the scene, you're sat in your office struggling for time.  External suppliers, staff, cashflow and business just becomes busy.  'Marketing isn't that important' you say to yourself...surely our current customers will refer us and we'll be fine from repeat business?

 

Truth is, no.  There are developing segments that may not be aware of your product or service.  This method 'doth butter no parsnips' as they say.

You know the story; you pour your heart out, those frustrations, blockers to getting leads to the sales lot and ultimately invoiced sales to go into the revenue budget.  The marketeer hears your speech, nods in appreciation and leave stating they'll have something for you in a few weeks time.

Follow up meeting arrives and departs.  You close down the Zoom window or leave your meeting room dejected; there was no energy or correct positioning.  They haven't understood your business well enough.

You're left empty but the invoice arrives in double quick time.  It doesn't have to be this way does it? The answer is NO!  It doesn't.  Your business deserves better.

 

They just didn't get under the skin or 'under the bonnet of the business' deeply enough.  Understanding our people, culture and ethos as business owners.  It's the most important aspect to enable you to SELL TO OTHERS and win the hearts and minds of your Clients.

 

You have 30 seconds to answer this in your own mind but in that of your clients, more like 10.  That's the knack of communication.  Not too much, not so little.  Just right...even as children we heard this (Goldilocks found it out through a hard lesson too).
